Today we review the Zoo Packs - Pre School Backpack from Skip Hop. This pint sized backpacks retails for $20 and comes in 18 different animal options.
What We Like:
The backpack is big enough to lighten a parents load without becoming too heavy for the child. We found ourselves using the backpack to store my son’s snacks, a few small toys and a extra diaper. The backpack also offers a side pocket big enough for a child sized drink.
The two things that makes this backpack perfect for parents of young children are the included leash and the front buckle. The leash is removable when not needed and long enough to be affective without letting your child out of site. The front buckle keeps your child from removing the backpack.
What We thought Could be Better:
I didn’t find a lot to complain about when it comes to the backpack but if I’m forced to be picky, I would point to having a second pocket opposite the drink one. I also wouldn’t have been opposed to a small interior pocket.
Final Thoughts:
At $20 the Pre School Backpacks from Skip Hop are cheap enough that I find them a good deal for even occasional use. I like the idea of letting my child “pulling his own weight” when it come to carrying his snacks and drinks.
