The weather has turned. Finally!
We’re seeing beautiful sunny days and blue skies which means our little guy is begging to get outdoors everyday. (Even when he’s been sick but that’s another story.) Whether it’s a trip to the park, cruising in his Power Wheels, or hitting the sidewalks on his strider bike, he wants to be out and about.
For Christmas we bought him a Radio Flyer Glide & Go but knew he wouldn’t be able to use it for a few months. So now that we’re getting to put it to good use, we had to go find a new helmet. After a trip to our local Dick’s Sporting Goods, he picked out his favorite lime green helmet and we were ready to glide.
If you didn’t know, May is bike safety month. That’s why were excited to share these bike helmet safety tips for having fun this spring and summer from our friends at Kaiser Permanente. Bicycle safety is a top priority for us this time of year. As helmets can save kids from brain injury or even death.

We love to ride around the neighborhood or to our nearby school. It’s a great safe place to practice and we even get to see some of his friends doing the same. He also loves being able to watch the bigger kids doing fun things on their bikes. Goals to work towards I’m sure. In time, I hope.
