This Summer Bag Will Let You Stuff Your Life Into It

Ready to roll in the back of the car alongside the stroller

Let’s be honest, no matter where you’re going with little kids you feel like you’re packing the whole damn house.

We have a nearly 3-year-old and a six week old. I’m surprised we don’t just carry suitcases with us when we step out the door.

“Wonder where they’re going on vacation?” the neighbors probably think. In reality, we’re not going anywhere fun. Just to the grocery store, maybe a quick trip to Home Depot and if we’re lucky for some froyo.

Now that summer is here, the park and pool are two popular destinations. The car darn near drives itself there. With either one, picnics are a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

So while we’ve got to pack everything for our destination, we also have to add all the stuff for the meals as well. That’s where our North St. Tabor Tote XL bag comes in. It can carry EVERYTHING!

It’s like carrying Mary Poppins’ bag around with you. No matter what the kids are demanding, you can pull it out. Not sure when they’d need a lamp but I wouldn’t put it past them wanting one.

With our littlest fella being born less than two months ago, we’ve had lots of visitors.

Recently, my wife’s sister and her fiancé flew out to visit. While cuddles and spoiling were in full effect, it was also time to do some touristy activities. We headed out to the Columbia River Gorge to check out the incredible waterfalls and that meant lunch on the road.

Stuffed to the gill with deliciousness for our picnic

Our North St. bag was the exact (massive) size we needed to pack all our food and supplies for a perfect lunch. It fit everything. Was super easy to carry around and fit perfectly in the back of the car stuffed with seven people.

It’s durable and rugged, has a liner for some water protection and is made with Cordura nylon. Not exactly sure what that is but I know the bag and straps can withstand a toddler. Good enough for me. There’s a zipper pocket on the inside that I’ll probably forget Goldfish in until I dig them out next summer but is great to have. Not to mention its made in the USA. My hometown of Portland, Oregon to be specific. At $59 its seems to me to be well worth the price, especially for the longevity.

With the weather heating up, the pool is our next destination. Not to mention swimming lessons later this summer. The Tabor Tote will fit plenty of towels, snacks, and sunscreen to take care of everyone. Maybe even enough to sell to make some side cash.

It’s a great bag for a day trip, long weekend, or anytime you travel with the kitchen sink. I have no doubt it will quickly become a part of our daily routine.

Yo! Just so you know: North St. Bags provided the product to facilitate this review but as always all thoughts and opinions are strictly our own.
